Unicesumar is one of the largest online colleges in Brazil and they have the study platform called Studeo
The final solution turned out to be bigger than I thought, through the discovery result, there was a need to create a new platform because it has many problems and is cheaper than correcting the current one.
Identify and map the most common problems among students
I worked together with a company analyst who helped me by being a bridge with the main stakeholders. My role was to research, document, and facilitate workshops.
Full documentation in Portuguese
In order to be able to understand in a more realistic way the journey of a beginning student, I requested that I be enrolled in the institution.
After I was enrolled I started documenting all my steps, from the first email I received to attend the first class, and the assumption that "New students have difficulties starting to use Studeo" started to become true. I focused on not thinking about solutions to the problems I encountered along the way, and I started to try to understand why it was difficult to start “my studies”.
Analyzing and documenting the main Studeo journeys, we began to notice that the assumptions that the "Information is scattered throughout Studeo" and the student "Has difficulty finding information about the subjects" were very explicit in the journey that the student currently has.
We planned a usability test with the product that is already on the market in order to confirm the assumptions and doubts raised and also have a chance to discover new pain points.
Along with the usability test, a questionnaire was presented for the user to report how he feels when using the product.
